Customise the theme you have, or build the one you need — and know which before anything is written.

Customise, or start again?

The cheapest changeis not always.

Most stores only need a few sections their theme does not have. Some have been overridden so often that the next change will break something else.

A recommendation before the work

Customise the theme you have, or build a custom one — decided from what the store needs, written down with the reason, before anything is quoted.

A section that is missing

The product page needs one more block and the theme has no slot for it.

Overrides on overrides

Years of fixes from different developers, each one making the next harder.

Apps left behind

Code from an uninstalled app still sitting in the theme.

How theme work runs

Audit the theme.Then build.

Four stages, whether the answer is a customisation or a theme written from scratch.

  1. Audit the theme

What it does well, what has been bolted on, and what each app has added to it.

    Step 01
  2. Recommend the route

Customise or rebuild, in writing, with the reason — then a fixed price for it.

    Step 02
  3. Build in sections

Liquid sections and blocks, the way Online Store 2.0 expects, so the theme editor can arrange them.

    Step 03
  4. Check every template

Product, collection, cart and search at phone, tablet and desktop widths.

    Step 04
What you can hold us to

Our fivequality promises.

Five things the studio commits to on every project, each already written somewhere else on this site.

  • A fixed price before we start

    No moving target

You get the price in writing once we understand the project, and it does not move during the build. No hourly surprises on the invoice.

  • A reply within one business day

    You are not waiting

Every enquiry is read by the people who would do the work, and answered within one business day. Mon-Sat, 10am - 7pm PKT.

  • Checked on real phones

    Not a resized window

Every build is tested on actual devices, because a browser window dragged narrow does not behave the way a phone does.

  • Built to be found

    Search-ready at launch

Real heading levels, metadata, structured data and a sitemap ship with the site — not as an add-on once traffic fails to arrive.

  • Yours to edit afterwards

    No support ticket

Pages made of blocks your team can move, and a walkthrough at handover, so the first change you make does not need us.

Included in every theme

What youactually get.

Four things in every Shopify theme project, customisation or rebuild.

  • 01

A recommendation in writing: customise the current theme, or build a custom one, and why

  • 02

Liquid sections and blocks you can add, remove and reorder from the theme editor

  • 03

Product, collection, cart and search templates checked at phone, tablet and desktop widths

  • 04

Theme code kept separate from app code, so removing an app does not break the layout

Best for

  • Stores that need a few sections the current theme does not offer

  • Brands whose theme has been overridden so often that every change breaks something

  • Merchants who want to rearrange pages themselves instead of filing a request

Questions

Before youask us.

The questions people ask most before starting a project like this.

Ask us something else→

Should I customise my Shopify theme or build a custom one?

Customise it if the store needs a few sections the theme does not offer. Build a custom one if every change fights the theme's structure. You get the recommendation in writing, with the reason, before any work starts.

Will I still be able to use the Shopify theme editor?

Yes. Themes are built as Online Store 2.0 sections and blocks, so layouts are added, removed and reordered in the theme editor rather than in code.

Can you fix a theme that has been customised by several developers?

Yes. Covenant Prep Co was an existing store whose layout, usability and mobile experience were reworked in place. Where the theme is not worth saving, we say so and quote for a rebuild instead.

What happens to my theme when I remove an app?

Theme code is kept separate from app code, so removing an app does not leave broken blocks or missing layouts behind.

Need your Shopify theme sorted?

Tell us what you are building and what it needs to do. We come back with a clear plan, a timeline and a fixed price.
