How we approach it
Every site we build is drawn in Figma before a line of it is written. This is that half of the work on its own: you get the design, and the build can be ours, your in-house team's or another studio's.
A design is only finished when a developer can build it without guessing. That means the states nobody thinks to draw — the empty list, the long name that wraps, the error under the field, the hover — and widths the layout was never sketched at. Skip them and they get invented during the build, which is how a signed-off design quietly becomes a different one.
The file is handed over the way we would want to receive it: components rather than copies, a type and spacing scale you can actually read off, and layers named for whoever opens it next.
